Vita

I was born and raised in Erlangen. I was drawn to the stage from an early age; I was fascinated by acting, language, and the opportunity to make inner worlds visible. In school theater and the student newspaper, I found my first spaces to express myself and to tell stories.

My journey began with training as an occupational therapist. However, the longing for artistic expression remained, leading me to pursue acting training. Over time, I realized more and more clearly that I was interested not only in the stage but, above all, in the human being, with their inner motivations, their personal ruptures, and the often surprising paths a life can take.

While working at a school for Performing Arts and further training as a theatre educator,, I created my first directorial works: “Mädchen in Uniform” (Girls in Uniform) and “Equus”.

The intertwining of theatre and therapeutic practice eventually led me to the Heidekreis Hospital, where I worked from 2010 to 2015 as a theatre and drama therapist in a psychiatric day clinic. At the same time, I pursued further training in theatre and drama therapy in Hamburg.

This was followed by a period as an assistant director at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, as well as an engagement as an actress at the Comödie Fürth. In time, my path led me back to directing and to theatre education.

From 2016, I worked at Theater Erlangen. There, I led the “Ensemble Extraordinaire” until 2020 and developed several original productions characterized by diversity, expressiveness, and a clear artistic vision. My play “Oda still im Menschenmeer” (Oda motionless in the sea of people) was invited to the International Puppet Theater Festival and nominated for the Fritz Wortelmann Prize.

At the same time, I led the theater workshop at the Hans-Sachs-Gymnasium in Nuremberg and worked at several primary schools. My encounters with children and young people, their imagination, openness, and perspective on the world have shaped my work just as much as my experience on professional stages.

From 2017 onwards, I also worked at the Staatstheater Nürnberg. There, I directed productions, facilitated artistic processes, and created spaces where diverse lived realities could intersect. Among other works, I brought Oscar Wilde’s “The Happy Prince” to the stage.

For many years, writing accompanied me quietly in the background, until it gradually claimed a place of its own. In 2021, my children’s book “Ida and the Labyrinth of Happiness” was published. A new edition followed, along with an audiobook version for Audible and Apple Books, as well as the children’s book “Because You Are My Best Friend.” What originally began as a single project developed into a new artistic home.

From autumn 2023 to spring 2025, I lived on El Hierro, a small volcanic island in the Atlantic. My time there was a consciously chosen pause one that gave rise to another book project and offered me the space to follow my own thoughts and the quiet emergence of new ideas.

Today, I live in the area around Nuremberg again. I write, develop projects, and still delight in people who have the courage to follow their own stories, Perhaps because the most exciting routes are rarely the straight paths.
